General Education Requirements

Students from all degree paths are required to complete 41 hours of general education courses in addition to their major and/or minor course requirements. Please speak with an advisor from the field that you are interested in to find out if that major has specific general education requirements that need to be met. For example - Elementary Education majors, just like all other majors, must complete 6 hours in U.S. History but one must be HIST 2030 and the other can be either HIST 2010 or 2020; Nursing majors are required to take MATH 1530 under the Mathematics course options; and all Business majors must take ECON 2410 which falls under the Social/Behavioral Science options. Speak with your advisor for more information.
