The 2+2 Program is a unique partnership between the community colleges and MTSU designed to meet the professional needs of students preparing to teach at the elementary level.
Students in the Teacher Education program will complete four years of study and receive a bachelor of science degree with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in K-6. The first two years of the program are completed by earning the Associate of Science in Teaching (A.S.T.) degree or a specifically designed A.S. degree for the 2+2 program (for students who entered the program before Summer 2006).
