Dear Regents, Senior Staff, Presidents and Directors:

The students, faculty, and staff at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) are pleased to have the opportunity to host the Tennessee Board of Regents meeting on September 23-24, 2010.

Lodging has been reserved at the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro at 1200 Conference Center Boulevard. All room reservations will be made by MTSU. Participants are invited to take advantage of the hotel's complimentary breakfast on Thursday and Friday morning. An evening hospitality room will be provided on Wednesday and Thursday at the hotel.

For your convenience, on this website will may find a parking permit, a campus map and driving directions, local dining and shopping information , a Middle Tennessee State University fact sheet , and a revised schedule of events.

Thursday's schedule will begin with a buffet lunch served in the Tom Jackson Building at 12 Noon. All meetings will take place in the Wright Music Building - Hinton Hall. Thursday's committee meetings will begin at 1:00 p.m. (CDT). There will be a campus presentation on Friday, September 24 beginning at 9:00 a.m. (CDT) with the full board meeting starting at 9:30 a.m. Parking will be provided for guests in the parking lot nearest to the meeting place. On Thursday evening special guests, including Governor Phil Bredesen and former Regents, will join us in a celebration of Chancellor Charles Manning's ten years of exemplary service to the Tennessee Board of Regents. A reception will be held at the MTSU President's Residence followed by dinner and entertainment in the Tennessee Room located in the James Union Building. Appropriate dress for this event is business attire. The University will provide transportation for guests to and from the campus for this event.
