In the case of inclement weather or other emergencies the Project Help staff will make every effort to contact parents and make them aware of any closings.
The Project Help staff will call, e-mail, or post information on the website to let parents know what measures are being taken to keep their child safe and whether the center will be closing. To help ensure that parents receive this information in a timely and efficient manner, we ask that parents please make sure that all contact info is current.
There is always the slight possibility that there will be snowy or icy weather in Middle Tennessee. MTSU seldom closes due to weather-related conditions, however, if that occurs, Project Help will be closed.
The additional policy is that is Murfreesboro City Schools are closed, our doors will open three hours late: at 10:30 a.m., or families may opt for bringing full day children at 1:00 p.m. -following nap time.
This later-opening affords our teachers and staff extra time to get to work. If you have any doubts or questions about the status of the opening, please check our Facebook page on the morning or prior evening where specific information will be posted. There are always occasionally cases in which this policy does NOT fit.
Rule of thumb, check our Facebook page.
In the event there is inclement weather during the day, Project Help will dismiss early paralleling the decision of the Murfreesboro City Schools. We ask that families check the media for this information and make arrangements to have their children picked-up as soon as possible.
In the case of a tornado warning including Rutherford County, we ask that you please pick up your child as soon as it is safe to do so. We request that once the sirens have stopped and the county / area is no longer under the tornado warning that you come immediately to get your child. These are stressful situations for all involved; the babies and staff members need to be with their families.
