Welcome to the web site of the Middle Tennessee State University Association of Secretarial and Clerical Employees.  If you are a secretarial or clerical employee on our campus we would be delighted to have you join us! 

Our purpose:

  • Developing greater knowledge among the secretarial and clerical office professionals concerning the working functions of Middle Tennessee State University.
  • Accomplishing better communication among the secretarial and clerical office professionals with other university personnel through the exchange of information and knowledge.
  • Fostering a spirit of fellowship with other MTSU secretarial and clerical office professionals.
  • Achieving and enhancing professional and personal growth, as well as promoting professional skills and attitudes. (See our schedule of meetings and details related to CPS and CAP certification elsewhere in this website.)

The Morning Workshop began at 8:15 a.m. and sessions ended at 11:45 a.m., followed by complimentary lunch.  The Afternoon Workshop began at 11:45 a.m. with complimentary lunch, followed by sessions from 1:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

ASCE, in coordination with the Chairs Council, provided a professional development workshop.  The "Making a Difference" workshop was sponsored by the University Provost.

This professional development training was FREE!  In support of ASCE's mission to foster a spirit of fellowship with other MTSU secretarial and clerical employees and to promote professional development, ALL clerical employees at MTSU were invited to participate.  Attendees selected from either the morning or the afternoon half-day workshops.
