Fetal kidney and cardiovascular system development; Glucocorticoids and renal, cardiovascular, and endocrine adaptations at birth

Author/co-author of 92 peer-reviewed journal articles in: American Journal of Physiology, Pediatric Research, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Endocrinology, Biology of the Neonate. Author/co-author of 11 review articles or chapters in books.

Honorary Member, UCLA Daniel Morton Society, 1996; Weitzman Memorial Research Award, Harbor-UCLA Faculty Society, 1993; Established Investigatorship Award, American Heart Association, 1992; First Award, National Institutes of Health, 1987.

GRADUATE PROGRAM ROLE:
Program Coordinator and serves as M.S. student research thesis advisor or graduate committee member. Teach graduate courses including: Embryology (BIOL-5010), Histology (BIOL-5130), and Principals of Physiology (BIOL-6330).
