EDUCATION: B.S. (Biology), Loyola University Chicago; Ph.D. (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) Indiana University Bloomington
RESEARCH INTERESTS: Comparative and behavioral endocrinology, especially of reptiles and amphibians. Past research has focused on the influence of testosterone on Sceloporus lizard behavior, physical performance (sprint speed/stamina), and parasite loads.
PUBLICATION RECORD: Author/co-author of five papers published in Physiological Zoology, Hormones and Behavior, Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology, and Copeia.
PROFESSIONAL SOCIETIES: American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists; Tennessee Academy of Sciences
GRADUATE PROGRAM ROLE: Serve on M.S. committees; I am currently looking for M.S. students to study in the areas of comparative endocrinology, physiology, or behavior. I will be teaching a graduate course in Ethology (offered every other spring).
