Sungard HE Banner

MTSU continues its lead in TBR's conversion from the SCT Plus administrative information system to the Sungard Higher Education Banner system. Banner is an enterprise resource planning application suite with a relational database framework. This system will provide up-to-date technology to better service the needs of students, faculty, administrators, and alumni. Banner will allow for the ability to access more accurate and comprehensive information on a daily basis and in real-time thereby facilitating better and more efficient management of university resources.

The Finance and IT Technical teams successfully launched Banner Finance on July 1, 2005. Many hours of testing, training, and discussions went into this transition, including the following enhancements:

• New Chart of Accounts
• Online Requisitioning
• Online Self Service Account Query

Departmental users who plan to access Banner Finance should have attended training, and users may access Self Service Banner via PipelineMT. New users should first peruse the Banner Finance FAQ then register for training using the links on the following page.

Our staff is pleased to provide this Web site for Banner Finance users, and we are excited about presenting the information already listed. In addition, we look forward to adding more information on a continuing basis.

Please plan to frequently visit this site for updates on the Banner project. We will be using the site for regular monthly announcements on the message board (i.e. availability of month-end budget reports on e~Print, changes and/or additions to account codes, new training sessions, etc.).
