Business Majors=20 Admission

 

Students desiring to major in business enter = the program=20 as pre-business majors and will apply for admission to the Jones College = of=20 Business after fulfilling the following requirements. To apply, = pre-business=20 majors who have completed the following requirements should complete an = Application=20 to Major in Jones College of Business form available on-line = for=20 printing from the hyperlink title above, or in paper form from the Jones = College=20 Advising Center located in the Business and Aerospace Building room = N219, or=20 from one of the business department chair offices in the Business and = Aerospace=20 Building.

 

Requirements for Admission to the Jones = College of=20 Business
(Effective Fall=20 2007)

Jones College=20 majors will not be allowed to register for upper-division business = courses=20 (except those listed below) until they have been admitted into the = College.=20

Students who are juniors may register for the = following=20 courses before being fully admitted to the Jones College: BCEN 3510, = BLAW 3400,=20 FIN 3010, INFS 3100, MGMT 3610, and MKT 3820.  Registration in = these=20 courses does not guarantee admission into the Jones College. 

 

Students must=20 be admitted at least one semester prior to their anticipated graduation=20 date.

 

Business=20 minors and non-business majors who need to take upper-division courses = must=20 attain junior standing, achieve a 2.000 GPA and obtain permission from = the=20 Dean=92s office.

 

These admission = standards=20 have been established by the Jones College faculty and administration = and are=20 subject to change.
