Using Internet Explorer to download files from the S: drive

This page explains to students how to use Internet Explorer (IE) to access the S: drive and download files from the S: Drive, as well as from home when files can not fit them in one single diskette.

  1. Connect to the Internet Service Provider as you normally do if you are at home.
  2. Run Internet Explorer .
  3. Go to the Business Lab Home Page: http://mtsu.edu/businesslab /
  4. Click on " S-Drive". You will be presented with the welcome page, click on " here ".
  5. To download files to your hard disk:
    • Internet Explorer users: right click on the file you wish to download and select "Save Target As..".
  6. Select the destination directory and click "OK".
  7. User the respective application to open the file from the location you saved it. Most files require the latest version of MS Word or MS PowerPoint.
