Summer 2002 News

New Computers Approved

dell gx pc The Technology Access Fee (TAF) Committee has approved the replacement of computers for the Business Computer Lab and College of Business Master Classrooms. The new systems will be available sometime during the Fall of 2002. These systems will be equipped with the latest Windows Operating system and have the capability to run the latest applications.

 

Master Classroom Upgrades

meeting In an effort to always provide the best educational environment possible, the Jennings A. Jones College of Business acquired new visual presenters to be used in master classrooms. These new units will be installed in classrooms where the current (older) equipment is not working properly. With the upgrades, students and faculty will be able to enjoy much better resolution and clarity when presenting documents in class.


 

Office XP Upgrades

office xp Keeping up with our tradition of providing the latest software to all our students, the Business Computer Lab and several Master Classrooms will be upgraded with the latest version of Office XP. The upgrade is planned to take place during the Summer of 2002.

 

New Computers for BAS S137F

people pc The College of Business has installed twenty-five new Dell computers in the S137F Demo Lab. These new systems are running the latest Microsoft Operating system (Windows XP) and are configured with 256MB of RAM, a Pentium 4 processor, CD-ROM, ZIP drives and 17" monitors. Our standard suite of applications such as Microsoft Office 2000 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Publisher), Terminal, FTP, Internet as well as Minitab and Cobol are available to all students.
