Welcome to MTSU Student Organizations


Habitat for Humanity photoThe Office of Leadership & Service serves as a resource to over 250 registered student organizations.  Staff members are available to counsel student organizations on event planning, reserving space, applying for student activity fee funds, and much more.

MTSU has approximately 250 registered student organizations with types including:
  • honor societies
  • fraternities/sororities
  • professional organizations
  • sports clubs/teams
  • political groups
  • human interest groups
  • and more!

New organizations are formed on a daily basis. A student may for a new organization at any time. Students may form their own organizations provided they have at least five members, a faculty advisor, and complete the necessary paperwork.

Registered student organizations enjoy use of university facilities, tables, and student activity fee money.

Benefits of involvement include:

  • Development of leadership skills
  • Meeting new people with similar interests
  • Eases the transition into college
  • Employers look for extracurricular activities
  • Strengthens professional, personal, and interpersonal skills
