Boxing Club Video



The Boxing club of MTSU is for students, faculty, and administration. Our purpose is to teach the knowledge of and appreciation for the art of boxing. Members receive a unique workout and excellent stress relief.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

The MTSU Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club meets every Wednesday at 8pm in the Rec Center (back right corner of basketball courts). Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a form of grappling that has Japanese and Brazilian roots. It is very effective in mixed martial arts competition, as well as self defense. Jiu-Jitsu is also a great way to keep in shape. Our instructor, Mike Westcott, is a seasoned purple belt who has competed at the world class level. Practices are for all skill levels, and if you have any questions please contact us.

Clay Target

The Clay Target Club of MTSU is a club dedicated to the promotion of the shooting sports on the collegiate level. Our goal is to generate competitions among TN universities and surrounding states in the hope that we can put MTSU on the map in the clay target arena. If you like the challenge of busting clay targets, then we have the club for you. If you would like to learn to shoot trap, skeet, sporting clay or any of the clays target sports, we can help you. If you have a competitive spirit and would like to shoot against Kentucky, UT Martin and other collegiate teams, then you're looking in the right direction. We are a part of the fastest growing sport in the country and you can be too!

Inline Hockey



The MTSU Inline Hockey Club competes nationally as a member of the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA), and regionally within the Southeastern Collegiate Roller Hockey League (SECRHL) in Division II. Tryouts are held at the beginning of the fall semester, interested students should contact the club for more information. Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student can play. Martial Arts

The purpose of the Club is designed to give those that belong to the MTSU community a chance to begin or continue training in the Martial Arts with access to plenty of equipment, space, weapons, training videos and seminars. Members also have the opportunity to gain exposure to many different styles of Martial Arts, as well as Boxing, Grappling, and Self-Defense!

Masters Swim



MTSU's Masters Swim Club is affiliated with US Master Swimming Inc. Masters swimming is an organized program of swimming for adults aged 19 and up. Members participate in a variety of ways, ranging from lap swimming to international competition. The cost of membership with the MTSU club is $65. The benefits of a membership with the MTSU Masters Swim Club include insurance during meets and workouts, health, fitness, camaraderie, fun, and the thrill of competition.

The spring 2013 practice schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 6:15 a.m. - 7:15 a.m., and  Wednesday and Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Skydiving Club

For its third year, the MTSU Skydiving Club is giving MTSU students and faculty the opportunity to experience all aspects of a freefall skydive. Skydiving takes place at the Tennessee Skydiving Center in Tullahoma, TN. No skydiving experience is required to join. The experienced jumpers of the MTSU Skydiving Club plan to attend the 2008 US National Collegiate Competition in Eloy, AZ.

Triathlon



The Middle Tennessee State Triathlon Club is one of the many sports clubs of MTSU. Full membership is limited to current MTSU students, however, faculty, staff, alumni, and any individual who has common purposes with the Club can be an associate member -- associate members do not vote or hold office. The main purpose of the club is to promote and encourage physical fitness and amateur participation in the sports of triathlon, duathlon, running, cycling, swimming, and multi-sport activity.
