
Sport Clubs offer recreational and competitive activity for those with a common interest.
Both formal and informal opportunities are available for instruction and participation
in a wide range of recreational activities students and other members of the campus
community. Sport clubs affiliated with the Campus Recreation program have become increasingly
successful in regional and national competition with Wrestling, Paintball, Masters
Swim, and Racquetball representing MTSU at national tournaments during the 2008-09
year. Those interested in starting up a new club should contact the Campus Recreation
office for further information. Get in the Competition!
Implemented 3 new sports clubs: Hurling, Women's Wrestling, and Weightlifting.
Won the 2011-12 WKU/MTSU Border Brawl
Men's Rugby:
- South Independent Rugby Conference North Division Champions
- Implemented 7's competition team
- Outstanding sport clubs honors
- Ranked 32nd in the country
- 3 players on the USA team that competed against Bermuda. (USA won 38 to 33)
Wrestling:
- Attended NCWA National Championships
- Had 6 National qualifiers
- Outstanding Sport Club of the Year
Hurling:
- Established the first club Hurling team for MTSU
- Held camp for hurling teams and interested participants
Masters Swim:
- Held 3rd Blue Wave Raider USMS Sanctioned meet 3/17/12
