Fitness Classes


Classes designated with an * require pre-registration and a basic instructional fee. All other classes are $1 each; Punch Passes for 30 classes are $20 and are available in the Campus Rec office.

Abs & Tone: A class concentrating on toning your body and strengthening your core.

*Boot Camp: This is a 6-week program you must register for in the Campus Recreation Office.

Boxing Club: MTSU Sports Club. Dues are decided upon by the club. Call 898.2104 for more information.

Cardio Kickboxing: This easy to follow kickboxing class will make use of your entire body and make you break a sweat!

CORE!: Strengthen your core and strengthen your life. This classes focuses on toning and strengthening our mid-section which impacts us in so many ways.

Fencing Club: MTSU Sports Club. Dues are decided upon by the club. Call 898-2104 for more information.

Health Walk: Tired of not feeling well but not quite ready to jump in and tackle hard core weights and cardio? Try walking to get you on the track to better health. This is a beginners group for those who aren't ready for a cardio pace but ready to work toward it. Recommended for those who walk less than a 17-minute mile. FREE!

Spin/Strength: Cardio and body toning all in one! This spin class will get you in shape quickly by adding weights.

*Street Safe: A progressive combat system to help you to stay safe on the streets and end conflict quickly, used by the FBI, CIA and Navy Seals. Class has 13 sessions in the semester, beginning Thursday, Sept. 6.

Striptease: No shoes, No Poles, All Clothes Required! Class is a combination of belly dancing, hip hop, and classic burlesque moves.
Tai Chi: This ancient art uses gentle flowing movements to reduce the stress of today's busy lifestyles and improve health.

Ultimate Sculpt: Quickly strengthen your entire body with moves that target more than one muscle group at a time.
Yoga: Sculpt a leaner, stronger body while releasing stress and fatigue by uniting your Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Zumba: Mix it up in this non-stop cardio dance class with Latin beats. The choreography training is a combination of fast and slow rhythms.
