Get Fit Stay Fit

Participate in this fitness program and the many activities Campus Recreations offers to become fit, stay fit, and develop a healthy lifestyle

Included:
  • 1 session with a coach/trainer
  • Fitness Assessment (body composition, strength test, cardio test, and flexibility test)
  • Weight Room orientation
  • Cardio Room orientation
  • Aerobics punch pass good for 30 classes or an additional personal training session
  • All additional sessions $20 each

We will work with you to design a program that will address your specific needs.

Cost: $50 MTSU students/$60 Faculty, Staff, and Recreation Members

Faculty and Staff Wellness Program - Fall 2012

Full Session: Sept. 4 - Nov. 30 
Session A: Sept. 4 - Oct. 12
Session B: Oct. 22 - Nov. 30 

Cost: 
Full Session: $200, Half Session: $125

Registration Deadline: Full: Aug. 31, Session A: Aug. 31, Session B: Oct. 19

Time: 7:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday

This fitness program is open to MTSU faculty and staff only.

Provided:

  • Beginning and Ending Fitness Assessment
    (Includes Body Fat Analysis, Weigh & Measure, Upper & Lower Body Strength Test, and Cardio Test.)
  • Weekly Training with a Personal Trainer
    You must cancel a session 24 hours in advance to be eligible to reschedule or make-up the session.
  • Group Fitness Punch Pass for 30 Classes.
  • Additional Sessions for $20 each

Boot Camp Fall 2012

Session A: Sept. 4 - Oct. 12

Monday - Friday:
6:15 - 7:00am, 12:30 - 1:00pm, 4:45 - 5:30pm

Cost: $35/one class per day, $55/two classes per day, $75/three classes per day

Couch to 5k

Think you can't run anymore because your knees or legs hurt too much? This running program helps you ease into running by gradually working up to a 5K distance over a six week time period.

Saturday Mornings, Sept. 1 - Oct. 6

Race:
Oct. 6, 2nd Annual Music City Miles for Melanoma in Nashville.

Time:
9:00am
Where: Campus Recreation Center

Open to MTSU Students, faculty, staff and members

Cost:
$30 per person (does not include race fee)
Sign-up: By Aug. 31 in the Campus Recreation office

* 6 weeks of saturday morning group runs with a trainer
* Weekly schedule for advised running plan

Half-Marathon Training Program

May 19 - Aug. 4

Time: 11 a.m .
Where: Campus Recreation Center
Who: MTSU Students, Faculty, Staff, Recreation Members
Cost: $50 per person
Sign-up: Campus Recreation Office before May 18

Provided:
* 12 weeks of Saturday morning group runs with a trainer
* Weekly schedule for advised running plan

Must be able to run 3 miles when starting



Nutritional Coaching

Eating right helps you maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, some types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Your Nutrition Coach will help you develop an enjoyable, sustainable personal eating plan suited to your lifestyle.

Each session is $30.

Aerobics

Come and participate in any of our aerobics classes. All aerobic classes are $1. An aerobic punch card worth 30 visits can be purchased for $20. Call Jerry Langham at 898-2104 for more information. Click here to view the new schedule.
