Blue Raider Bike Program

The Blue Raider Bike Program will start in the Fall Semester of 2012. This program encourages the student population to ride bikes instead of drive cars across Campus. In order to facilitate this, the MTSU Campus Rec bike program has the following measures to make bike riding easy on campus:

1. Have a commuter fleet of 15 bicycles for rent. The bikes are single speed bikes with regular v brakes
2. You can buy a rental card for $15, which allows you to rent a bike for a 48 hour period at any time for the semester. Rental must occur while the bike shop is open.
3. You can renew your rental over consecutive days based upon bike availability.
4. You must sign agreement to follow all rules and regulations based on bike safety on campus
5. Rental includes helmet and lock.
6. The Bike shop will be hosting numerous free safety rides and workshops for the campus community. These will be educational in nature and help create a safe environment for riding on campus
7. There will be bike shelters setup in the Rutherford lot and Greenland lot that will be able to house bicycles and protect them from inclement weather.
These will encourage students to park in the exterior lots and ride their bikes into campus for classes
