Alumni Career Services

Alumni Career Services are available to those who have graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in good standing with a conferred degree. An active email address is required to utilize most services.

Alumni Career Services include:

• Access to all job postings in Lightning JobSource (to reactivate your account call 898-2500, or to request an alumni account, complete the registration form), the Career Development Center's online recruiting program, to conduct active job searches. Any position that comes into the Career Development Center is posted in Lightning JobSource. Jobs are posted daily during regular business hours and non-holidays. Availability is subject to labor market supply and demand.
• Availability to put resume in Alumni Resume Book in Lightning JobSource. Employers who recruit at MTSU will have access to this resume book online to source candidates. It is not recommended for alumni conducting confidential job searches.
• One resume and cover letter review via the Document Drop Program.
• Utilization of InterviewStream, a mock online interview program (must log in to Lightning JobSource).
• Utilization of Resources section of CDC website.

Alumni Career Services are available through subscription only. Subscriptions expire in December and June. Alumni will be notified prior to the expiration of their subscription with instructions for re-subscribing for the next term. Example: An alum subscribing in November will have a subscription until the next month, December. In December, he/she will be notified about extending their subscription until June.

NOTE: Previous attendance at MTSU without obtaining a degree does not qualify for Alumni Career Services.

The Career Development Center does not offer the following services:

• Creating or writing resumes for candidates
• Creating or writing cover letters candidates
• Placing candidates in jobs
• Counseling, career counseling, or career coaching
