This is the first year for a department-wide career fair hosted by the Economics and Finance Faculty.  This fair will include the annual Insurance Career Fair typically held by Dr. Ken Hollman, Martin Chair of Insurance.

The Economics & Finance Career Fair is for students with majors/concentrations in Economics, Public Finance, Labor Relations, Finance, Business Finance, Financial Institution Management, Insurance, and Real Estate.

Employers will be looking for professional, confident students with an interest in economics and finance to fill full-time positions and paid-internships. Employers will be looking for the best, so the better prepared you are, the more likely you are to stand out.

 


What do I need to get in?

The event is free. No registration is required. Students MUST dress in professional attire and prepare a resume in order to attend the event. For help on your appearance or your resume, visit one of the links below.

Students are REQUIRED to wear professional attire and have prepared resumes.


Log in to Lightning JobSource for a list of employers attending.

All students enrolled in classes have access to Lightning JobSource using their Pipeline Username and Password. Log in through the link above. You should research employers before the fair so you can be fully prepared!

The faculty of the Economics & Finance Department in the Jones College of Business invite you to participate in the inaugural Economics & Finance Career Fair.

Meet economics and finance students who are interested in internships and entry-level positions. Department faculty will be on hand to answer questions about the majors.  Economics majors may select a concentration in Public Finance or Labor Relations.  Finance majors may select a concentration in Business Finance, Financial Institution Management, Insurance, or Real Estate. 

Employer Registration

  1. If you already have a Lightning JobSource account, go to the Employer Login Page and enter your Username and Password.  If you cannot remember your Password, use the "Forgot Password" feature on that page (Username is your email address).

  2. If you do not have a Lightning JobSource account, you must first create one before registering for the fair.  To create a Lightning JobSource account, go to the Employer Login Page and click on the "Register (for an account)" Tab and complete the form.  The Career Development Center will review your information and email you a password.

  3. Log in to your new account and change your password on the "Account" Tab. 

  4. On your account home page, click the "Events" Tab at the top.

  5. Select the Economics & Finance Career Fair and complete the form. You will be asked to confirm your registration at the end.
