Job postings must have clear and accurate descriptions of the company and position to be eligible for posting in the database (Lightning Job Source). We will not approve any job posting that appears to be fraudulent or misleading. All postings and organizations must comply with EEO/AA guidelines and meet the the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) guidelines for professional standards and ethical conduct.
Third Party Recruiters must list the actual place of employment for the position to be considered for approval.
Unpaid Internships at for-profit organizations will not be approved.
Department of Labor guidelines on unpaid internships
Business opportunities or other activities that require fees or financial investments of any kind will not be posted. Multi-level marketing opportunities will not be posted. Position duties must be conducted at a commercial location. Home based businesses including tutoring and personal care services will not be posted.
Job postings must not be used to solicit business from MTSU students.
Room Reservation Interviewing Policy
Interview rooms are available to employers to interview students on campus. Employers will schedule directly with students and alumni and will forward the interview schedule to the MTSU Career Development Center prior to the interview date.
- All Interviews will begin no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and end by 4:00 p.m.
- Only MTSU students and alumni will be interviewed
Outstanding Payment Policy
Employers with unpaid bills from previous career fairs or other recruiting services will not be allowed to continue recruiting. This includes future career fairs.
