College of Basic and Applied Sciences Virtual Mentoring

Students,

The College of Basic and Applied Sciences has alumni and industry friends who have agreed to become virtual mentors for you!  These virtual mentors are available to the College of Basic & Applied Sciences majors to give career advice and answer questions via email (or skype when needed).  Our hope is that you will use this resource to find professionals that are already in the field you want to go into and ask them questions about what their job is like, how you can prepare now to get a job like theirs when you graduate, and get feedback as you pursue a career path.  This is not intended to give you people to ask for a job or to write your resume for you – they are simply available for career advice and insight into their professional field.  I encourage you to utilize these mentors and anticipate you will find this to be a valuable resource to help you in your career journey and your time at MTSU.

With my very best wishes for your success.

Dr. Bud Fischer
Dean, College of Basic & Applied Sciences
**If you are interested in becoming a virtual mentor or know someone who is, please email Nancy.miller@mtsu.edu a 3 sentence bio, headshot, and preferred email address and she will respond to you with information on the program.**
