RESPONSIBILITIES
The Academic Advisor provides academic guidance to students; he works primarily with new freshmen and transfer students within the College. He reviews student overload, course substitution and Academic Fresh Start requests before final approval.

Travis primarily works with students whose last names begin with M - Z; however, he will see any student that needs assistance.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Travis was born in Tennessee and has lived there since birth. He attended MTSU where he received both his B.S. in Recording Industry with a concentration in Production and Technology, and M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision with a concentration in Higher Education. He has worked at MTSU previously as an Admissions Counselor in the Admissions Office. In January 2010 he began his new position as an Academic Advisor for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences. His professional memberships include the Tennessee Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO) and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Travis is married to his wife Brittany and has a dog. Travis and his wife had their first child in March 2010. His interests include playing music, listening to music, recording music, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, jogging, and family and friends.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Jennifer was born in Maryland but grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended the University of North Alabama, where she received her BS in Public Relations and Marketing and MA in Community Counseling. She worked at MTSU previously as an Area Coordinator for the Department of Housing and Residence Life. She then left MTSU and went to Western Kentucky University as a Coordinator for Housing and Residence Life. She returned to MTSU in January '06 to begin her new position as an Academic Advisor for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences. Her professional memberships have included South Eastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO), American Counseling Association (ACA), Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA), and National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Jennifer's interests include live music, reading, traveling, camping, family and friends, and her dog Stella.

Andrew primarily works with students within the Aerospace Department; however, he will see any student that needs assistance.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Andrew was born in Virginia but grew up in Alaska and Alabama. He attended Jacksonville State University (JSU) in Jacksonville, Alabama, where he received his B.A. in Mass Communications and M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Student Personnel. He worked at JSU previously as an Admissions Counselor for the Office of Admissions for two years. He came to MTSU in the summer of 2006 as an Assistant Director of Admissions. In February 2008 he began his new position as an Academic Advisor for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences. His professional and collegiate memberships have included the Delta Chi Fraternity, the Chi Theta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Honor Society), Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, the Alabama Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ALACRAO), the Tennessee Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO), and National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).
