 RESPONSIBILITIES
The CBAS Development Officer is responsible for all aspects of fundraising for the College of Basic & Applied Sciences. Duties include raising funds for scholarships, professorships, building projects, and capital campaigns. Most importantly, the Development Officer facilitates relationships with donors, which leads to larger gifts in the future and also helps build a history of giving to Middle Tennessee State University.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Ms. Allen obtained her bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003. After graduation she took a position as a Development Representative for the American Cancer Society, helping raise funds and service support programs in three counties in Middle Tennessee. In October of 2007 she accepted the position of Development Director for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences and is now helping raise money for her Alma Mater.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Ms. Allen is married to Blake Allen who is also an MTSU alumnus and works as an Art Director at a web design firm in Franklin, TN.
