RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Computing for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences assists the college's departments in determining computer needs, requirements, repair, updating computers and associated equipment, with the majority of his time spent on service calls for repair work for the college departments.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Conway retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 and 1/2 years in November 1990 as a Chief Data Systems Technician (Surface Warfare) and went to work for the Industrial Studies Dept at MTSU in December 1990 as a computer technician and test equipment technician. He earned in Bachelors degree in Business while on active duty from Columbia College of Columbia Missouri. He was promoted to his present position in August 2001.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Mr Conway is married to former Sarah Nelson of Denver, Colorado where they met when Chief Conway was stationed with the Naval Unit at Lowry AFB. Colorado. They have one daughter, Paivi, who is 9 years old. His wife graduated from MTSU with a Bachelors degree in Nutrition in 1995 and has worked for serveral nursing homes in the area as a Dietary Manager. She currently is staying at home and caring for her mother who lives with them.. Mr. Conway enjoys staying at home after traveling the world with the Navy and working in his garden and watching Paivi play basketball and soccer.
