Health and Human Performance, Communication Disorders, Tenure-Track

Position begins: August 1, 2014

Communication Disorders, an undergraduate program in speech-language pathology and audiology at Middle Tennessee State University, invites application for a full-time, tenure track faculty position, with summer appointments possible.  Duties include teaching courses at the undergraduate level in child language development and disorders, phonological development and disorders, and other courses related to the field; supervision of student clinicians; advising; public and university service; grant writing; and research.
Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity, and service is expected.

Health and Human Performance, Community and Public Health, Tenure-Track

Position begins: August 1, 2014

Teach and advise in a SABPAC approved undergraduate professional preparation program in Community and Public Health; teach graduate health courses and advise graduate students; advise and supervise thesis/dissertations in M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs; serve on department, college, and university committees; actively participate in professional organizations; have an active track record in health-related research; and write peer-reviewed publications.  Priority areas of instruction are health communication, epidemiology, theory, and national and global health.  Additional areas of instruction in health related areas are also possible.  All coursework involves knowledge and application of CHES responsibilities and competencies.

Health and Human Performance, Research Methods/Applied Statistics/Data Analysis, Tenure-Track

Position begins: August 1, 2014

The Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University seeks applicants for a tenure track position at the assistant/associate/full professor level to teach HHP graduate courses in research methods, measurement, applied statistics, and data analysis; mentor masters and doctoral students; and apply for and secure external funding in health and human performance research areas.
The successful candidate will teach required graduate courses in research methods, data analysis, measurement, and in one specialty area.

School of Nursing, Faculty, Tenure-Track

Position begins: August 1, 2014

Position requires classroom and clinical teaching of baccalaureate nursing and master of nursing students, student advisement, research and scholarly activity, and university/community service. Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity, and service is expected for all positions. MTSU seeks candidates committed to using integrative technologies in teaching.
