Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related field or J.D. degree required (ABD considered). Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience. Official transcripts (not issued to student) of all college degrees and three letters of reference, specific to the position, will be required if you are selected for an on-campus interview.

Human Sciences
(Position #119130) Textiles, Merchandising and Design, full time tenure track, at the assistant/associate professor rank
Teaching undergraduate courses in apparel selection and evaluation, CAD, fashion illustration and rendering, textiles, textile testing and other retail and merchandising related courses; must possess effective communication skills; and ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute to team endeavors, particularly within the program and department. The successful candidate is expected to possess knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in textiles, merchandising and design; knowledge of subject matter and course content for teaching; knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques for teaching lecture/lab and studio based courses; skilled in the use of computers, Internet resources, MS Office software, Computer Aided Apparel Design, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Illustrator CS5 (current versions); ability to instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students in field of study, ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process; ability to successfully interact professionally with students, other educators, educational institution representatives, and the general public; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and ability and willingness to learn all software specific to Middle Tennessee State University that is required to perform duties.
Position Starts August 1, 2013.
Work experience in the fashion/textile industry and previous college-level teaching preferred.
