Do you want a life-long rewarding and fulfilling career?If your answer to these and other job-related questions is YES , Mr. Lewis Gray, Career Coordinator for the College will assist you with your career search activities.
The Career Development Center (CDC) is a
comprehensive Center servingall departments and colleges of
MTSU. Those services include five programs:Career
Exploration, Student Employment, University Internship,
CooperativeEducation and Campus Recruiting. Please
read the descriptions of each program below to see which programs
meet your needs.
Career Exploration
Students who have declared a major but are
uncertain of a career path. Involves self-assessment and
career exploration using different assessment tools. These
include Focus and the Self-Directed Search.
Student Employment Program
Students who are seeking jobs on or off campus (the campus jobs include those that are NOT funded through the Financial Aid Office.) Students are also encouraged to contact each campus department directly to inquire about employment.
University Internship Program
Students seeking internship positions in addition to academic internships required within the major.
Cooperative Education Program
Students seeking a paid, academic credit position related to their field of study. Must apply to and be accepted into the Co-op Program.
Campus Recruiting
Students graduating and looking for full-time career positions. Involves job postings, resume books, career fairs, and On Campus Interviewing.
The CDC maintains a website called Lightning JobSource in which students may log in to discover information regarding career services and opportunities. Some of the services included are

• Career Fairs
• Interview schedules and placement services
