Students who seek this degree will typically be expected to: enter professional schools in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and related areas; continue their education at graduate schools; or enter the biochemical workforce immediately upon graduation. The objectives of the curriculum are to establish a strong, broad education in biochemistry commensurate with the most modern technological training available. The goals of the curriculum are to produce graduates who are knowledgeable about the most recent biochemical discoveries who can apply their knowledge to new challenges and who are trained to pursue science in the most meaningful, ethical, and economical manner possible
