MTSU OFfice of Research Compliance

The MTSU Office of Compliance has a mission to enhance compliance consciousness for MTSU's workforce and student research by promoting the highest standards of ethics and integrity through awareness, training, education, monitoring, oversight, and appropriate responses to confirmed violations. Through this enhanced consciousness, compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and University policies is achieved. The Office of Compliance not only furthers the mission of ethical research at MTSU, but also effectively and efficiently provides support for the following areas:

We accept IRB and IACUC applications online. Please send applications to compliance@mtsu.edu. Students must have their faculty advisor email their applications or a statement of their approval of the project to the Office of Compliance. Please submit your applications in advance. During peak submission periods (August to October and January to March), a minimum of 3 weeks needs to be allocated for review.   Those who qualify for full review must check the committee schedule and should allow more time for  the approval process.
