CUSTOMS globe

Why is this orientation program called CUSTOMS?

When you travel from your home to another country, prior to entry, you must go through the country's customs process. We use the same theme for traveling to a new world - MTSU. You must go through CUSTOMS - new student orientation to familiarize yourself with your new home.

Why use countries?

We divide new students into small groups for more individualized attention from university personnel. These small groups are identified as countries. They are lead by current student leaders at MTSU called Student Orientation Assistants (SOAs).
