Orientation for Students

Starting off to college is a big step. It is an important time in your life, a time to develop new friendships, goals, and viewpoints. CUSTOMS is an orientation program carefully designed to help make the journey into this new world exciting and manageable.

A new requirement for attending CUSTOMS is Varicella (chicken pox) immunity. The state of Tennessee requires new full-time enrollees in higher education institutions to show proof of immunity to varicella, or chicken pox. Go to the Student Health Services webiste to learn about acceptable proof of immunity .

Orientations Sessions are offered for freshmen students who will be attending MTSU for the first time. CUSTOMS orientation is offered on dates that are available throughout the summer to accommodate different schedules. Registration is required and costs for the orientation and overnight accommodations apply. Online registration will be available April 2012 for Fall 2012 CUSTOMS.

Registration for Spring CUSTOMS will be available in November.
