Orientation for Students

Starting off to college is a big step. It is an important time in your life, a time to develop new friendships, goals, and viewpoints. CUSTOMS is an orientation program carefully designed to help make the journey into this new world exciting and manageable.

Orientations Sessions are offered for freshmen students who will be attending MTSU for the first time. CUSTOMS orientation is offered on dates that are available throughout the summer to accommodate different schedules. Registration is required and costs for the orientation and overnight accommodations apply. Online registration will be available April 2009 for Fall 2009 CUSTOMS.

What About Students with Special Needs?

CUSTOMS is designed for all students. Special "Ports of Interest" will give you an opportunity to explore offices that address your individual needs or individual interests.

If you need special accommodations during your visit, including an interpreter or wheelchair access, please notify our office and the Office of Disabled Student Services at 615-898-2783.

What's more, our student staff is representative of our diverse student population. If you would like to know more about services available to students, our staff will be on hand to point you in the right direction.
