HOW DO I REGISTER FOR SERVICES

Eligibility must first be determined in order to make arrangements for accommodations from Disabled Student Services. Providing current documentation  that establishes a disability is the responsibility of the student.

INCOMING FRESHMEN:
Contact Disabled Student Services after acceptance to MTSU in order to determine what documentation is necessary to determine eligibility for services. It is preferred that the student meets with Disabled Student Services prior to beginning of class in order to complete the following:

1. Register with our office
2. Identify special needs
3. Discuss the impact of the disability on course selection and scheduling
4. Create an Accommodation Plan for the upcoming semester

CURRENT STUDENTS:
Please contact Disabled Student Services prior to, or as early in the semester as possible, and provide a Registration Application as well as appropriate documentation of your disability. After appropriate documentation is received, disability service staff will then determine, with the student's input, what accommodations are needed. Accommodations are based on the currency, depth and breadth of documentation, along with the student's input.
