A native of Poland, Dr. Kostkowska teaches courses in 20th Century British literature and women writers. Her areas of specialization include Virginia Woolf, British and American female modernist writers, Nineteenth and Twentieth Century women writers, Jeanette Winterson, Wislawa Szymborska. She has translated works of Polish contemporary poets into English. She is writing a book on Virginia Woolf.
