Formerly Chair of the English Department, Dr. McDaniel is Dean of the College of Liberal Arts (and MTSU's senior dean) but continues to teach courses on Shakespeare and in the Honors Program. He authored the first book -length study of Philip Roth and translated a classic work of folklore into English from Italian.
