Stuart Dischell to Read from His Poetry


Stuart Dischell will read from his poetry on April 5th at 4:00 p.m. in Dining Room C of the James Union Building.

Dischell's first book, Good Hope Road (Penguin), was a 1991 National Poetry Series selection. His poems have appeared in many publications, including AGNI, The New Republic,
Partisan Review, and Ploughshares. He has been awarded the Pushcart Prize and was the recipient of a 1996 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Literature. Dischell has been on the faculty at Boston University and New Mexico State University. He now teaches in the M. F. A. program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His most recent collection is Evenings and Avenues (Penguin 1996).
