Professor Cynthia L. Selfe to Speak at MTSU


Professor of Humanities at Michigan Technological University and nationally recognized computers in composition scholar and author Cynthia L. Selfe will be on campus to share her extensive expertise and offer practical applications for computers in composition from her repertoire of best practices.

Since compositon is a component of all disciplines, the presentation--Friday, January 19, 2001, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the State Farm Lecture Hall (BAS S102)--is open to MTSU faculty across the curriculum.

Some of Dr. Selfe's numerous publications include Technology and Literacy in the Twenty-First Century: The Perils of Not Paying Attention (1999), Computer-Assisted Instruction in Composition: Create Your Own (1986), and Writing in the Disciplines (1997). Along with Gail Hawisher, Dr. Selfe is also the editor of Computers and Composition: An International Journal for Teachers of English and CCCC Bibiliography of Composition and Rhetoric.
