| Dr. Sessions is a distinguished scholar of English and American literature, the author of the forthcoming Henry Howard, the Poet Earl of Surrey, a Life: "Enough Survives" (from Oxford University Press), due out in the fall of 1998. His "Where Does a Poet Come From?" will appear in the February 1998 issue of the Southern Review. He was a friend of both Flannery O'Connor (their correspondence appears in O'Connor's collected letters) and Walker Percy (Sessions' son is Percy's godson). |
