Business Plan Competition - Over $12,000 in prizes awarded annually
The Wright Travel Chair in Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition is the year's main Entrepreneurship event through the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University. Prominent early-stage company investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders from the Middle Tennessee area will judge the presentations by the final four student teams.
The Business Plan Competition was started in 2013 through the Wright Travel Chair in Entrepreneurship to foster the entrepreneurial spirit within the region. It is designed to help students and alumni in launching new business ventures, including for-profit businesses, not-for-profit businesses, corporate entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. Participants enhance their Middle Tennessee State University learning experience, gain feedback on ideas, develop networks, and expose their ideas to potential investors.
The purpose of the entrepreneurship intern program is to provide student interns with an opportunity to: develop professionally, acquire real-world entrepreneurial experiences, and apply classroom learning to the workplace. We encourage all of our students to participate in an Entrepreneurship Internship. Many students have indicated that this was one of the best learning opportunities they had while at MTSU.
You can find more information on participation on our Entrepreneur Internship page.
