Who Are We?
Raider Entertainment is a student group under the supervision of the MTSU Student
Programming & Activities office. It is Raider Entertainment's mission to provide quality,
low-cost entertainment for students throughout the year.
Students involved with Raider Entertainment will have opportunities to get event planning
and coordination experience, paid employment, and network through meeting new friends
and getting involved. With paid employment positions, general council members will
have first priority of shifts for the Student Union Video Theater and Football Game
Day Activities. Events held throughout the school year include concerts, trivia nights,
movie screenings, and much more.
Additionally, council members may be provided opportunities to work in the Student
Union Game Room, though an external application process is necessary (please fill
out this form
and drop off in STU 340 if you are interested in Game Room employment).
"Your Campus, Your Entertainment"
Our motto in Raider Entertainment is "your campus, your entertainment." Being involved
with the council is your chance to provide creative input and skills that will shape
MTSU's campus life and continue to grow the foundation that has been laid before you.
The majority of our funding comes from student activity fees that are built into tuition,
and you will be entrusted to spend this money on cost-effective, high-quality programming.
Through this, Raider Entertainment transforms your campus into your entertainment.
To become a member of Raider Entertainment's General Council for the 2015-2016 Academic
year, you must be able to meet the following requirements:
- Attend all weekly general meetings on Monday night at 4:30 PM in STU 224.
- Provide at least 20 hours of service including Raider Entertainment events and promotions
throughout the semester. Students will be required to support both event logistics
and event promotion (handbilling, tables, etc.)
- Attend Raider Entertainment trainings and other mandatory events.
- Be a currently enrolled student in good standing with the university.

. General Council membership is limited to 50 students. You may either bring the form
directly to the MTSU Student Programming & Activities office located in the Student
Union Building, Room 340; or you may submit your completed application via fax to
(615) 898-2873. You may also mail the application to MTSU Student Programming, Middle
Tennessee State University, STU 340 Box 11, Murfreesboro, TN, 37132.
Students accepted into the Raider Entertainment General Council will be notified after
we have reviewed the application (usually within two weeks). All notifications will
be sent via the email address provided on the application. CUSTOMS applications may
be dropped off on the second day of the program. Applications received during CUSTOMS
will not be reviewed until August 3rd, 2015.
