Greenhouse Services

We provide horticultural and landscape support for the campus while providing students majoring in Plant and Soil Science in the School of Agribusiness and Agriscience an opportunity for hands-on experience working within a greenhouse environment. The greenhouse grows bedding plants from seed that are used throughout the campus to give a welcoming impression to students, visitors, and others. A variety of potted plants and flowers are grown and used for the many functions and special events held on campus.

One project appreciated by University staff are the poinsettias available for decorating offices during the holiday season. Each year the students produce hundreds of the plants and all are grown from rooted cuttings in the greenhouse. The cuttings are donated to the University for the students' use.
