Biography

Mrs. Hoppe earned her Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  While earning her degrees Mrs. Hoppe was active in the Rolling Scots Adaptive Sports program competing in Weightlifting, Wheelchair Basketball, and Track & Field.

Mrs. Hoppe earned her Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  While earning her degrees Mrs. Hoppe was active in the Rolling Scots Adaptive Sports program competing in Weightlifting, Wheelchair Basketball, and Track & Field.

Publications

Mrs. Hoppe has published a children's book "Molly B. Golly's Wonderful Dancing Debut."  It is a picture book that features a little girl who uses a magical wheelchair, and learns to perform in wheelchair ballet.  Mrs. Hoppe believes that in order for young girls with disabilities to achieve success and independence in life, they need stories and characters that reflect who they are.  

Presentations

Mrs. Hoppe regularly presents professional development seminars, keynote addresses, and workshops via conferences.

She presented a TED Talk at the 2014 TEDxNashville, where she discussed the statistics women with disabilities face today occupationally, socially, and educationally.

Creative Activity

Mrs. Hoppe is currently directing and bringing to Nashville the national arts awareness project The Raw Beauty Project.  Raw Beauty is a photography installation and reception that celebrates women with disabilities in print media, while highlighting their stories of influence, lifestyle, and being change agents within the disabled community.
