Bobby Taylor is a Grammy nominated songwriter having had songs recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus (“Did I Forget to Pray?”), Mark Collie (“On the Day I Die”), Montgomery Gentry (“Hillbilly Shoes”), Ty Herndon (“A Man Holdin’ On To A Woman Lettin’ Go”), Diamond Rio (“Redneck Love Gone Bad”), Don Williams featuring Allison Krauss (“I Just Come Here for the Music”), the Oak Ridge Boys (“Compared to You”), and numerous other Country Music artists.  In collaboration with the Cumberland County Playhouse, Bobby was invited to write music and lyrics for the original show Good Neighbors: A Tellin’ Told About Cordell Hull produced at the Playhouse in 1995.  In 2014 he was asked to write music and lyrics for Front Page News, a play performed in the summers of 2014, 2015, and 2016 in the Rhea County Courthouse—home to the famous Scopes Monkey Trial.  Mr. Taylor has published works in various online and print publications appearing alongside such notable American writers as Anne Waldman, Clark Coolidge, and Thurston Moore.
