This scholarship program provides awards of up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. These awards are funded by the AICPA Foundation from monies contributed by the AICPA, its members, public accounting firms, and others. The program has been in existence for more than 20 years and has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships.
Scholarships are awarded each July for the following academic year. For the 2002-2003 academic year, scholarships totaling $516,000 were awarded to 157 students.

National Society Of Accountants
The NSA Scholarship Foundation is a 501©3 tax-exempt organization formed in 1969 by the National Society of Accountants in response to a firm commitment to education and the accounting profession. The Foundation administers the NSA scholarship awards program for accounting students. A new educational program is under development that will support educational activities to expand the body of knowledge of today's accounting and tax professional.
