Can transient / visiting students receive financial aid at MTSU?

If you are enrolled at MTSU as a transient / visiting student, the MTSU Financial Aid Office will not be able to determine your eligibility for federal / state financial aid assistance, including the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship Program.

 If you are seeking financial aid assistance, you should inquire with the Financial Aid Office at your home institution (the school at which you are pursuing your degree) to determine if they will initiate a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement with the MTSU Financial Aid Office.  If this is a possibility, you must insure that the coursework taken at MTSU will apply toward your program of study at your home institution. 

 Even if your home institution processes a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement, you will need to be prepared to pay your fees at MTSU by the due date or your classes will be dropped for non-payment of fees.
