Dear Fellow MTSU Employee:

I am excited to announce that the MTSU Employee Charitable Giving Campaign is now underway in support of a number of charities throughout the communities in middle Tennessee. Your participation and support will be instrumental to the success of the project this year.

As you know, a sound community is the key to achieving educational and economic empowerment and reversal of some of the most alarming statistics ever. That’s why the Employee Giving Campaign is engaged in the growing commitment to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. That is also why I have every confidence that we will continue to impact the lives of others in meaningful ways through giving.

“Joining Together-Making a Difference” is the 2009 theme sponsored by the Tennessee Board of Regents system. Now more than ever, it is critical for us to have the support needed to help with the changing dynamics in our society today.  As a member of the MTSU family, we must come together on behalf of the community to help fulfill a greater need. As you make preparation to participate in this year’s initiative, I am encouraged by how your support will have a significant impact on the lives of the men, women, and children we serve. This miracle can only occur because of your generosity with your contributions and dedication for helping families, friends, and neighbors.

Your commitment to supporting the MTSU Employee Giving Campaign will be very much appreciated. I look forward to your tireless effort and spirit of cooperation throughout this campaign. Please follow the process outlined below:

1. Review the Giving Campaign brochure and determine to which of the listed charity(ies) you wish to contribute.
2. Get the code number of your selected charity(ies). For example, the United Way of Rutherford County code is C65-000. The Boy Scout of America, Middle Tennessee Council is listed under United Way of Rutherford County and its code is C65-002.
3. Complete the 2009 Campaign Pledge Form. Please use your M number on the form instead of your social security number.
4. Return the pledge form to your team captain.
5. Team captains should turn in all pledge forms to Laurie Glenn, Cope Room 114, no later than November 20.
