Master of Science in Mass Communication

| The College of Mass Communication offers the Master of Science degree in Mass Communication. A graduate minor in Mass Communication is also offered. Normally, a score of 900 on the verbal and quantitative portions of the Graduate Record Examination is required for admission to the degree program and a 500-word statement of purpose outlining academic interest and professional goals. Once accepted into the College of Graduate Studies, students interested in the graduate program in Mass Communication may take up to 6 credit hours (2 courses) before being admitted to the program. However, one of those first two courses MUST be MC 6000 or 6010. ALL students in the Mass Communication graduate program must take MC 6000 and 6010 among their first year of coursework. All other courses in the program require permission of the graduate director before enrolling. |
Admission Requirements:
To be admitted to the Master of Science in Mass Communication program, a student must submit to the College of Graduate Studies:
Online application and appropriate application fee
Official transcript of all colleges, universities (including business and technical schools). If the transcripts are issued from an international (non-US) institution, a course-by course analysis is required. Original non-US transcripts should be submitted directly to the evaluation service.
