The Department of Psychology offers the Master of Arts with a major in Psychology and concentrations in Clinical, Experimental, Industrial/Organizational, and Quantitative Psychology. The department also offers a minor at the graduate level.

The concentration in Quantitative Psychology's primary objective is to prepare students for applied and research careers as statisticians, psychometricians, data analysts, and quantitative psychologists in education, business, government, and other organizations. This program consists of 45 semester hours of work.

Common activities performed by persons holding a master's degree in Quantitative Psychology include:

analyzing empirical data obtained from scientific research;
providing program evaluation and statistical consulting services for federal and local governments, private businesses, hospitals, schools, and other data collecting agencies;
performing scientific research on psychometrics or statistical phenomena through theoretical derivations and simulation methods;
developing and evaluating mathematical models of psychological phenomena; and
developing and evaluating educational and psychological tests.

To be admitted to the Master of Arts in Psychology [Quantitative] program,
a student must submit the following to the College of Graduate Studies:
