Apply for Graduate Assistantship?

You should check with the department you are applying for to see if they have any positions available. Departments have deadlines in submitting the Graduate Assistantship application. There are also non-academic departments that hire GAs. Applying for Graduate Assistantship is similar to applying for a job so please be professional (submit your resume, get ready for interviews etc...). If you have not heard from the department, chances are the positions have been filled.
