Be Among the Best!
"Be a Leader. Be a Scholar. Be a Servant. Be a
Sister.";
When you join a sorority, you become a member of one of the largest student organizations on campus. Membership in a Panhellenic sorority can be an open door to many great opportunities and experiences as a student at MTSU. Although each sorority is unique, we all come together to support each other. The four pillars of Greek Life are scholarship, leadership, friendship, and service. We strongly exemplify these qualities across our campus. Participating in recruitment will allow you a head start to a positive beginning here at MTSU.
What is recruitment?
Formal recruitment is a week long period set aside by the
Panhellenic Council at Middle Tennessee State University and
participating sororities to introduce Potential New Members
(PNMs) to Greek Life and the respective sororities. The Formal
Recruitment period has a two-fold purpose: to give the
prospective member every opportunity to become acquainted with
as many sororities as possible so that she can form a wise,
unbiased opinion, and also to ensure that sororities have equal
opportunities in recruiting and member selection under the
Panhellenic System.
Requirements for participation in recruitment
Must be an enrolled, full time student
(12 or more semester hours) at MTSU
(A PNM is ineligible for participation in recruitment if she has been a new member of a PHC sorority on the MTSU campus within the calendar year. She is also ineligible if she is currently or has ever been an initiated member of any PHC sorority nationally.)
