Thanks for your interest in participating in the 2010 Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts in Theatre.

Theatre audition information and schedules will be located at www.mtsu.edu/~gschool/ . Simply follow the links under "Theatre" to "2010 Audition/Interview Location/Dates/Maps" to access your audition time. On this web page, you will find your name listed under the date you selected on your application (you may need to scroll down the page). Look under the heading which describes your application category (Performer-Male, Performer-Female). Note: Female performers may need to check Group I & Group II.

There will be a time listed - this is the time of your audition orientation. Please do not be late! At the assigned time, everyone should report to the Lobby of Boutwell Dramatic Arts Building (on the MTSU Blvd. side of the building across the one way street from Forrest Hall, ROTC building…look for signs and a concrete handicap ramp) on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. After a brief orientation, performers will present their audition in private rooms (see "Guidelines").

On these web pages, you will also find links to guidelines for performance auditions.On this page you will also find a map and directions to the campus and facility.

Please note that we no longer require call backs for performers, so you will be free to leave following the last component of your audition.

Every effort was made to schedule your audition/interview at a time that did not conflict with other auditions/interviews in the school. If another audition/interview does conflict with auditions for other areas (such as Music, Visual Arts, etc.), please let me know as soon as possible. We will work out a solution. Since you chose the date of your audition and we have limited ability to change the schedule, please do not ask to reschedule auditions for other reasons unless there is an emergency or extenuating circumstance.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD COME DRESSED FOR DANCE/MOVEMENT AT THEIR CHECK-IN TIME!! ( see notes and suggestions). Bring clothes to change into for the monologue/vocal/interview audition.
